Abstract Oil Painting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, Abstract Seascape, 6x6x1.5" SOLD

The Outer Banks on North Carolina have been on my mind.  I was thinking of Ocracoke when I painted this little abstract seascape.

The Outer Banks is like no other place I have visited. Surrounded by water, the residents are a hardy type who take pride in providing for themselves.  The danger of living there, is still felt, as the tropical storms and hurricanes devastate the dunes and road on a regular basis.  In earlier times, shipwrecks littered the beaches.

I painted with a palette knife and oils, leaving it as raw and wild as the beaches.

Thanks for viewing my art today.

I love when you paint with the palette knife. It leaves such nice texture which is perfect in a beach scene. I hope your move to Florida is going smoothly....Keep your mask on!!!
