THE WETLANDS, 6x8, OIL, SOLD, Daily Painting

In Florida we have an abundance of wetlands, especially along the coasts.  They are home to birds of all kinds, not to mention, otters, snakes, gators and bobcats.

This image is the Viera wetlands, very famous in the birding community.  Birder's from around the world visit the wetlands hoping to spy a rare type of bird.  They also come for the annual bird count.

Our state is such a fascinating place to live.  We can offer much more than just beaches and Mickey Mouse.

Marshes of Maine, 6x6, Oil, SOLD

This is another of my little marsh paintings, thanks to Donna Vines for the reference photo.

I am experimenting today and have entered this in the Daily Paintworks auction.  I have set a price of $56.00 for this 6x6 painting and at the end of the auction, if it has not been sold,  I will list it on my Etsy site  at $69.95.

I hope you will check out my gallery at Daily Paintworks and if you like this little painting, take advantage of the opportunity to purchase it at a discount.

GOLDEN MARSH II, 5X7, OIL

Just a little marsh scene.  I find it very relaxing to turn out a few of these simple paintings occasionally.  After several hours spent on a more complex painting, this feels almost as good as a massage.

SOUTHEASTERN WETLAND, 5X7, OIL, SOLD

Another abstract marsh painting.  Tomorrow I will post more in my series of half fruits and veggies.  I have been posting 5 days a week now for 6 months and I can see the changes in my paintings.  I thought it would be difficult to find something interesting to paint every day, but I find the real difficulty for me is to find something interesting to write.  I may have to revert to one of those artists who posts their paintings with no commentary.  I wish I were one of those clever types or more technical.  I don't suppose there is any chance I will change at this stage of life...the only changes I see are accentuating my more undesirable traits, improvement seems out of the relm of possibilities.

STORM OVER LOW COUNTRY, 5X7,SOLD, OIL

Another big storm over the low country. I don't know why this fascinates me so much. I find myself painting these stormy marsh scenes over and over. Maybe it is the lime green/dusty purple color combination. ???
