THE GULF AT SUNSET, 5X7,SOLD

From a photo I took about 12 years ago. The gulf of Mexico as the sun is sinking. I'm not sure how I feel about this one.

I have been in North Carolina for the last two weeks on our annual family vacation. We had lots of fun and laughs, but I am anxious now to get back to my regular routine as I have not painted since I left home. I have lots of photos that I want to paint.

FLORIDA WETLANDS, 8X10 - SOLD

My friend, Donna Vines, and I went on a photo shoot one evening, out to the Viera wetlands. The wetlands is home to hundreds of species of waterbirds and assorted creepy crawlies like snakes and gators. Thankfully, we only saw birds. Thankfully, also, we saw a stunning sunet!
So, this painting is probably not correct, with the glow from the sun pulling your eye out of the painting, but somehow, I still liked it. I think the darkness provides enough interest to pull your eye back and through the painting.
