Abstract Sailboat Painting, Small Oil Painting, Coastal Wall Decor, Beach House Wall Decor, Nautical Scene, Palette Knife Painting

I have been inspired by sailboats that I view on the Intracoastal Waterway, here in Florida.  They seem so calming and graceful as they move through the water.

Both of these paintings are available at my website listed below.

Have a great day!

Sand and Surf, Palette KnifePainting, Small Oil Painting, Daily Painting, 12x12" Oil Painting on canvas, SOLD

Give a child a beach and a shovel, and he (or she) will have lots of fun and hopefully show their creative side.

SOLD
This is a friend's little son, several years ago.  When I saw the image, I knew I wanted to paint it, but as so often happens, it was pushed aside and didn't happen for several years.

Small Seascape Painting | Daily Painting | Small Oil Painting | Green Sea by Carol Schiff | 11x14 Original SOLD

This small seascape painting was worked with a palette knife and is full of texture.  Just as the sea has many faces, my art does too.  Some days I want to do a detailed piece and somedays I want to sling paint.  Today...I wanted to sling paint.

SOLD
 The textured sand and foliage.

Daily Painting, Seascape Painting, 6x12" The Sea by Carol Schiff SOLD

If you follow my daily painting blog, you know I visit the ocean on a regular basis

SOLD

I am always amazed at the changes of color I find in the waves.

I never know which kind of sea I will find when I go to the beach.  Smooth and gentle, crazy and wild, dull or sparkling.  Hmmmmm, much the same as my painting experiences.  Smooth and everything drops into place like magic, frustrating or total failure when I feel like it is the very first time I picked up a brush, fresh and clean or the dreaded OVERWORKED!

Happy Painting!

PERSISTENCE PAYS OFF, 6X8, OIL, SOLD

A perfect beach day...kids running around, surfer's waiting for the "great one", birds overhead.  Lots of sunshine and the beautiful Atlantic...what more could we ask for?  I think this gentleman was asking for just a little more, but as far as I could tell, no luck!  There is always tomorrow.
