When I first started painting, I worked with an incredible instructor for years, Sandra Johnson, a wonderful artist who works primarily in oils and pastels. Sandy started me off in pastels which I learned to love. For pure color, they cannot be beat. This is a 14x18 pastel on Canson paper.Daily Paintings-Affordable, Original, Small Works of Life- Still life-Landscape-Mixed Media- Abstract......................................"All art is quite useless; so is a flower" Oscar Wilde

Wow Carol, you colours are truly wonderful - they glow! Lucky buyer.
Thanks Liz, I did notice on my computer that the colors are stronger on the screen than they actually are in life. The highlight on her hair, for instance, should show as a golden orange shade.

This is stunning....so feminine and gentle...great color! Computer images of paintings are never faithful....much to our disadvantage!
Very nice.. The lines are beautiful.
Theresa, Marian, thank you for your compliments.
