CAROLINA MOUNTAIN STREAM, 8X6, OIL, SOLD

Another of my plein air attempts.  This was probably my favorite of the places we painted while in North Carolina last week.  It is always wonderful to sit quietly by a stream for a few hours on a beautiful fall day, but add to that the pleasure of sharing the experience with 7 very  wonderful women friends (and fellow artists) and you have the making of a near perfect day.

I really like your plein air paintings! You should do more of them...the humid weather isn't much fun to be out in though?

Ooh, this is very nice, the colors are great... I like the brightness of the rocks in the foreground and the light in the trees far off in the background, draws you right in....

Carol, I have been admiring this painting on Fb but it would be more permanent if I leave my comments here: There is a lot of light in this cool scene, and a very pleasant rhythm. This work is a hit!

Beautiful piece,Carol. Sounds like you had a delightful day spending it with your friends. Nothing better than sitting beside a stream.

Love all of your recent Plein Air paintings. You have a really cool mosaic play going on with the light. Wonderful!
