I am back in my old rut doing still life again, and it feels good. I must say my little "vacation" from them lasted longer than usual this time. I even got creative with a few knife paintings. But sooner or later, I always return to my comfort zone.

Why rut? If this is what you like, it's not a rut but a passion. This is a lovely piece!
Love this, beautifully painted. You can paint anything well, but I love your still lifes.
Such lovely gesture in this artichoke! It appears to be yearning or wistful. Sensitive brushstrokes, beautiful color and space. I really like it!!
Well, you are good at still lifes so why not.
I would not call this beautiful little painting being in a rut. It is lovely!
Love the texture and color shifts in the artichoke, Liz. Very nice.
Lovely to see you back with the veggies, Carol. You will never run out of subjects because you are fearless of everyday subjects!
And may I say, my favorite one of all. Good to explore in art , Essential in fact. But home is where it is at. And I see you are home in this lovely competent piece.
