GRAND CENTRAL STATION SCALLIONS, OIL, 8X6, SOLD

If you have ever been to Grand Central Station, you probably know the beautiful grocery there.  Oh, if only I could have that store in my neighborhood.  The most beautiful and tempting foods combined with the most unique and interesting displays I have ever seen in a grocery.  A feast for the eyes and a winning combination.

Love those colors, that limey yellow and the thick white paint on the ends. Very cool composition too.

Beautiful array of onions, fresh and ready for purchase... Take your camera when you go to Paris and I will direct you to some amazing markets... You will have material for your art for years to come, people and produce!

Oo, lovely. Chop chop chop. It must be Spring...I can smell them. Time for an omelet - out into the garden for goodies! Oh. It's February. Everything is still brown muck. Sigh.

Thanks for a nice fresh painting! I know little about technique but I liked the white too - it feels crisp and crunchy. It's quite something, the way paint can add expression more powerfully than a photograph that way. The way we see the world is most complex - painting is a language process, I guess, just like poetry.

I call these shallots in Australia. I love using them in cooking. You've captured them really well. They do tend to flop and curve a bit.

The similarity is evident! The colours definately grabbed my attention, as did the quantity of bundels.

I also love the shape and colour of your mug!!! Perfect for my 'bucket' of tea I drink at night!!!
