Small Seascape, Ocean Painting, Daily Painting, Small Oil Painting, "Sunrise", 6x8 Oil, SOLD
Although I do not live on the beach, I am very close, so it is easy to jump in my car with a cup of coffee and a camera. That is just what I did on this morning.

ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE, 8X6, OIL
A few weeks ago, I awoke early, grabbed a cup of coffee and my camera and headed off to my favorite park on the inter-coastal. I was rewarded with a peaceful morning, arriving just as daylight was breaking. A blue heron was perched on a piling, contemplating breakfast, with the sun backlighting the scene.
How could I not paint it?? Well, I didn't even try to resist. A month from now, it may be 95 degrees with 100% humidity and everyone who lives in the southeast may be wondering, why?? I will have this little reminder of why. For someone else, it may be a snow shovel or bad back, but for me, this will do the trick.

OCEAN SUNRISE, 6X8, OIL SOLD
Some days it is really hard to find something to paint. It is always fast or famine with me and today was a famine day. I decided to do a little seascape as I have not painted one for months. In fact, I painted two of them today, so tomorrow I will post the second piece.

SUNRISE ON THE ATLANTIC, 20X24, OIL

| Purchase here 595 |
A few weeks ago I posted a 5x7 version of this scene. It turned out very well, sold, and I was encouraged to do a larger version. This is the 20x24" version.
The beauty of the ocean is timeless and ever changing. In this scene, I tried to re-create that wonderful moment when the sun first breaks over the horizon. Everything is calm, the waves, the wind, the birds, and the sky bursts with pastel color.
