DSDF ROWER, OIL 8x10

I am sure you all recognize this as the challenge painting from Karin Jurick's blog, Different Strokes from Different Folks. Week after week Karin posts photos that appear to be "easy".

Ha! I should know better than to be lulled into the fire, but no, I convince myself that this one is easy and will not take long. Ha again! They take me twice as long as any other painting and I always hate the way they turn out and WHY IS HER HEAD SO SMALL?? Oh well, always another photo on the horizon.

WILTED TULIPS BY KELLIE HILL

I have been very lucky lately, first by having the wonderful artist Annie Salness paint my portrait in the Karin Jurick challenge, and now, I have won this terrific painting from an artist who's work I admire. Kellie Hill hosted a painting give away on her blog and I was fortunate enough to win it. This lovely painting of tulips that have seen their better days is now on my bedroom wall. Thank you Kellie, I love it! I hope you all will check out her blog. Click on the names above to go to their sites.

SHADOWS

This is the weekly post from Karin Jurick's blog "Different strokes from different folks". She is such a killer artist, so creative. I am impressed that she could think up such a great name for her project. Thanks Karin, for creating this project and taking the time and energy to impliment it. It is so interesting to see 50-60 artists take on the same photo each week.
