SHADY LADY, 10X8, OIL SOLD

Once upon a time, this lovely lady lived happily on my back porch...until the big, bad, cold, northern winds blew through.  Now she is nothing but a pile of brown dried out petals.  I did my best to revive her with lots of water and sun, but alas, to no avail.  She has gone to hibiscus heaven and is no doubt enjoying herself there with thousands of other plants that came to live at my house for a brief amount of time.

Beautiful and dramatic with the dark background!

Awh, you made me laugh and feel bad for the plant all at the same time. Beautiful painting- sad story!

What a pretty white flower Carol! Love the blue shadows.

Bel hommage pour ce bel hibiscus qui aura lui au moins la chance d'être immortalisé et mis en valeur grâce à votre talent.

Love it Carol! But no matter how hard you try, hibiscus flowers only last one day! Lucky you painted it for posterity.

Carol, this one pulled me in the minute I saw it on the Daily Painters Originals post. The shadows are just masterful!

Your shadow colors and dark background make this painting pop.
