LEEK AND CHERRY TOMATOES, 6X8, OIL SOLD

It seems I always return to still life paintings and the ever popular fruits and vegetables.  Especially for small works, they are so much fun.

And of course, they are all double duty, first as models and secondly as lunch.

I think your produce is always absolutely beautiful. Don't you feel a little guilty when you bite into one of your glowing tomatoes?

Yes, this is getting me hungry...that tells me you did an awesome job painting delicious looking and jump off the page veggies!

Probably you go back to fruit and vegetable " still life ", because it is something that comes easy, something you are very good at, one just has to look at the results. Poetry in the kitchen!

Love your still life. Nice colors and brushwork.
I did a couple paintings of that Prague Bridge...Charles Bridge, I think it is. I loved Prague.

I am your newest follower thanks to Karena. I so very glad she introduced me to your site. I am a painter but I haven't painted since BC...."before children" I am just getting my creative juices flowing and my blog is the start. I home you have a chance to visit. My logo is a pear I painted way back in BC... I love your work.

I was blog-traveling and fell on Karena's blog, which now led me to yours. I just wanted to tell you that your still life paintings are so modern without being too abstract or cold. I loved the one with the banana slices, blueberries and strawberries. That could've easily been my cereal toppings! It's a wonder that I haven't been able to relate to a still life painting in a long time.

I just want to tell you that your work is beautiful. I was so focused on getting to this blog that I didn't pay attention to the contest :)
