CANDLESTICK WITH PALM SHADOWS, 4X12", OIL

When summer comes and the earth tilts just right,  the most beautiful shadows of palms come through my window.

You may have noticed that I have been placing fruit, vegetables and other paintings there for several weeks now.

Isn't nature the most beautiful gift!  Have a wonderful weekend!

THE MANTLE, 6X8, OIL SOLD

Another view of my favorite vase (see post from Friday) along with one of my pastel paintings. I keep waiting for Karin Jurick to paint one of my works, but alas, it has not happened so I am forced to do it myself. (Just kidding, Karin)

PEARS AND CANDLESTICK,SOLD

I don't know why, but, as I painted this I was getting tighter and tighter, a problem I don't usually have. It may have been a result of trying to get the candlestick look symmetrical, but I like to blame it on my friend, Denette. I tell her she is rubbing off on me! That would not be a bad thing, click on her name to check out her artwork, you will be truly amazed!
