This is the set-up for Qiang's 2nd demo at our workshop last weekend.  He did a stunning painting, which is on his bog here.  Check it out!

Hi Carol,
Your landscape painting is wonderful! I like the textures left by the use of a palette knife; it is immediate and a quick way to capture the ever changing light. I love painting too and come to my blogsite sometime for a visit!
Bye,
Richardson.

Beautiful landscape from NC! Okay, where are your paintings from Qiang's workshop? He is the best. He was my first workshop instructor and I learned a ton from him. So humble. He actually got me started on my blog. Good luck painting this week!

Nice scene. Love those blue hills in the background and the hint of autumn colors in the closer ones. That one lonely tree in the foreground just sets everything off nicely.
