DANCING ON MY WINDOW SILL, 6X8, OIL, SOLD

You never know where the perfect still life will be discovered. I tossed these tomatoes on my window sill and several hours later the sun made a perfect still life out of them.  Backlighting is a beautiful thing!

Oh Carol, these tomatoes are a winner! The light you captured is wonderful.

You won't have problems with copying this time... I think you should do it bigger. Its just beautiful!

You are right, the back light is great. Nice and loosely painted, almost resembles a water color at first glance!

Lovely, I love the colors and light. Catherine is right, it does resemble a watercolor.

I love the way you use the window light for your background, which creates nice back-lighting for your subjects.

I went to the DPO website and your painting is the first one I clicked on to see. It is just wonderful and how neat you it was a 'found' beauty.

This backlighting is indeed a beautiful thing.
Now who could possibly eat tomatoes who dance in the light?

This is stunning! It's my new favorite painting of yours. You are right, the lighting is beautiful but I also LOVE the way you laid out your composition and the design of the green stems, especially the little curl on the right! This won't last long in your shop.

There are so many parts to this painting that I love. Most of all the highlights and reflected dots. Aslo the paint in between the stems.
